Vinci is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the DPDP Rules, 2025/2026. This policy explains how we collect, process, and safeguard your digital personal data when you use our Super App services, including transportation, food delivery, and IT-enabled commerce. By using Vinci, you signify your informed consent to these practices.

Privacy Policy - the basics

Under the DPDP framework, you are the Data Principal (the owner of your data), and Vinci is the Data Fiduciary (the entity responsible for its safety). We only process your data for specific, lawful purposes that you have explicitly consented to.

  • Purpose Limitation: Your data is used only for the services you request (e.g., your location is used to find a cab, not to track you indefinitely).

  • Data Minimization: We collect only what is necessary to fulfill your order or ride.

  • Storage & Localization: All personal data of Indian residents is stored and processed on secure servers located within the territory of India.

What We Collect & How We Use It

To provide a seamless Super App experience, we collect the following categories of information:

  • Identity & Contact: Name, mobile number, and email address for account creation and OTP-based authentication.

  • Precise Location Data: To coordinate ride pickups and food deliveries via the ONDC network. This is accessed only while an order or ride is active.

  • Transaction Details: Records of your purchases and rides to provide support and manage refunds.

  • Communication Data: Metadata from chats between you and service providers (drivers/sellers) to ensure service quality.

Your Rights as a Data Principal

In 2026, you have full control over your digital footprint through our Consent Manager. Your rights include:

  • Right to Access & Correction: View and update your profile at any time.

  • Right to Erasure (Forget Me): Request the deletion of your account and associated data once its purpose is served.

  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Easily stop data processing for non-essential features through app settings.

  • Grievance Redressal: Contact our designated Grievance Officer at support@vinci.com for any privacy concerns. We commit to a resolution within the 72-hour legal window.
